Diversión en familia para contribuir con las investigaciones sobre el cáncer
Laughter, cotton candy, fun and games were enjoyed by all ages at the 2nd Annual AdamFest held last weekend at Hunter Berry Farm in Weddington. Thanks to the help of generous community members, the Adam Faulk Tanksley Foundation donated all proceeds from the event to raise money for pediatric cancer research at Levine Children's Hospital.
AdamFest is named in honor of five-year-old cancer survivor, Adam Tanksley, who was diagnosed with Stage IV Anaplastic Wilm's Tumor at the age of four. Adam, along with hundreds of others, enjoyed face painting, hay rides, a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, games, live music and much more.
Established in 2009, the Adam Faulk Tanksley Foundation is a proud partner of Levine Children's Hospital. Contributions from the Adam Faulk Tanksley Foundation will directly impact the hospital's ability to provide local access to high-level clinical trials and cancer-related studies for its pediatric cancer patients. This marks a significant step in bringing new research to Charlotte, which means children can receive the care they need – right here in our community, rather than traveling out of state.
