Celebrating its 11th year Learn, Live, Hope, a benefit for the Hendrick Marrow Program and Levine Children's Hospital, was held May 18-19. Bank of America served as title sponsor and Choate Construction was presenting sponsor for the event, which raised over $900,000 for sick and injured children in the Carolinas. The event featured a reception, dinner, and live auction on the 18th, followed by a celebrity golf tournament the next day.
Learn, Live, Hope was filled with dreams of a healthier future for children in our community. Among the special guests attending the dinner was Dr. Andrew Gilman, Director of Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplantation at Levine Children's Hospital. In his remarks, Dr. Gilman emphasized that children and their families will no longer need to travel outside the Charlotte region to receive a bone marrow transplant. During an emotional presentation following his remarks, special guest Henry Moore, a bone marrow transplant recipient, met his donor for the first time. Both Henry, his donor, and their families expressed gratitude for the commitment the Hendrick family has to children in this region.

Entre los demás invitados se encontraron el guitarrista de Aerosmith Brad Whitford; los jugadores de los Panther Mushin Muhammad, Dwayne Jarrett, Geoff Hangartner, Matt Moore; los ex jugadores de los Panther Mike Minter y Mike Rucker; y el entrenador John Fox, quienes también se unieron para ayudar a que Learn, Live, Hope haga realidad los milagros para los niños de las Carolinas.
